Fellowship recognizes significant contribution Prof John Ashton - editor of Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance - has made to banking
Bingley, United Kingdom, 29 July 2016 - John K. Ashton - Professor of Banking at Bangor University and editor of the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance
(JFRC) - has been elected as an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute.
Awarded by the Council of the Chartered Banker Institute, the Fellowship recognizes the significant contribution Prof Ashton has made to banking. The citation highlighted the wider contribution to banking education Prof Ashton has made as Bangor University’s Academic Director of the Chartered Banker MBA, an innovative blended learning programme completed by over 500 bankers across the globe. This post-experience programme focuses on developing professionalism, enhancing leadership, ethical practice and risk management among banking professionals.
The Fellowship is also an acknowledgement of Prof Ashton’s research contributions in regards to financial regulation and economics of banking, numerous policy contributions in the UK and beyond and a continuing commitment to professional engagement.
Prof Ashton is the editor of the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance (JFRC), published by Emerald Group Publishing
