Visit Emerald at this year's ALA Conference
Emerald will be at booth 920 at this year's ALA Conference
Emerald representatives will be based at booth 920, ready to showcase Emerald’s business, management, economics, engineering and library science eJournal collection along with the in-depth eBook series and online collection of case studies provided by Emerald.
As well as exhibiting, Emerald will also be taking an interactive role at the conference - Mike Groth, Marketing Manager for North America will be presenting during the ‘One Part Social, One Part Commercial: a Recipe for Supporting Social Entrepreneurship: Business Reference Sources Publisher’s Forum’ on Sunday, June 23 between 1pm-2.30pm.
During this session, Mike will review the market context for published research in social entrepreneurship and provide examples using Emerald resources. He will also look at how librarians can advise their users on how to get the most out of their literature, especially as it pertains to turning theory into practice.
Mike said “As this year is the 140th anniversary of the first ALA conference and one of the most important conferences in the library community calendar, I am delighted to be able to represent Emerald along with my colleagues and be a part of over 2,000 scheduled events that are due to take place over the course of the conference.
“We will be out in force, discussing our essential business and management collections, congratulating the winners of the BRASS and ACRL awards we sponsor and seeking development partners for our new teaching cases collection.
“Emerald is committed to helping the librarian community and our US team is looking forward to seeing all our customers this weekend and taking in the industry buzz in Orlando!”
In addition to the exhibition and presentation mentioned above, Emerald has further supported the librarian community by providing a cash prize to three different ALA professional recognition and research fund awards.
