Evolving Entrepreneurial Education: Inspiring the Next Generation of Entrepreneurial Leaders

Award winning teachers from Babson College share their innovations and insights in new book

Boston, MA, October 21, 2015 – Emerald Group Publishing, global publisher linking research and practice to the benefit of society, has brought together leading scholars from the top entrepreneurship school in the US to share their expertise in Evolving Entrepreneurial Education, Innovation in the Babson Classroom.

In the book, editors Professor Victoria L. Crittenden, Kathryn Esper, Professor Nathaniel Karst and Professor Rosa Slegers showcase a combined wealth of knowledge from 45 scholars at Babson College who share their experiences and highlight their approaches to innovation in the classroom. This includes insight into the latest developments in course design, the delivery of content to students and how to create and share high-quality content.

Victoria L. Crittenden, Professor and Chair of the Marketing Division at Babson College, said: “We were motivated to compile this book as we are often asked for our opinion on certain types of learning needs and expectations and want to share our combined wealth of educational scholarship here at Babson College with the external academic marketplace. In this book we have also shared our award-winning programs which can be used as models by other institutions.”

Mike Sugarman, Emerald Senior Vice President, North America, said: “Entrepreneurial education is a key area of growth in the academic community that we are committed to supporting through the publishing of rigorous, high impact insight and research.

“As entrepreneurship is a hallmark of Babson College, their extraordinary wealth of educational experience, insight and approaches to innovation makes this book a one-stop-shop for educators seeking to engage and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.”

Emerald has produced a dedicated page on their website featuring an infographic summarizing the highlights of the #AskBabson twitter Q&A session with authors Professor Carolyn Hotchkiss, Professor Victoria Crittenden and Professor Nan Langowitz, alongside photos from Emerald’s book launch reception held at Babson College.
