Emerald supports International Women's Day 2016

Emerald dedicates web page and resources in support of International Women's Day 2016

Bingley, United Kingdom, 08 March 2016 – The World Economic Forum estimates that it will take 117 years to achieve gender parity in the workplace.  To help bring gender diversity closer and in support of International Women’s Day - Emerald Group Publishing has created a dedicated web page to celebrate the work women have done, and continue to do, to encourage new societal norms.

The page contains free access to recent research regarding the issues faced by women in the workplace; a blog by the editors of the Advances in Gender Research Book Series; and a short quiz in honour of the various women’s rights activists, politicians, poets, musicians, scientists and humanitarians for your to take part in and share with your peers.

Emerald is fully committed to supporting workplace diversity, as Harriet Bell Marketing Director at Emerald explained: “The Stride initiative recently launched within Emerald, promotes workplace diversity and provides an inclusive working environment for our staff.

“We will be supporting the International Women’s Day #PledgeforParity campaign at Emerald offices on 8 March to celebrate the achievement of women past, present and future.”
