Emerald Editor wins ‘Library Assessment Career Award’

New Emerald Editor receives esteemed library studies accolade

United Kingdom, 25 July 2014 – Emerald Group Publishing, global publisher linking research and practice to the benefit of society, is pleased to announce that the new Editor of Performance Measurement and Metrics, Joan Stein of Carnegie Mellon University, has received a ‘Library Assessment Career Award’, in recognition of her achievements in the field.

The Library Assessment Career Achievement Awards are judged by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and the Library Assessment Conference Planning Committee. The awards recognize individuals who have contributed significantly to effective, sustainable and practical library assessment, as evidenced through presentations, publications, methods, service, advocacy, and other work. The other 2014 award winners are Brinley Franklin, Fred Heath and Jim Self.
